Training & Origin
I completed my MDS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Government Dental College and Hospital, Nagpur where I was awarded the Gold Medal by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. My fellowship in Oral Oncology at Siddharth Gupta Memorial Cancer Hospital, Wardha (high-volume cancer institution) gave me something a postgraduate degree alone cannot: sustained exposure to the full surgical management of head and neck cancers, from diagnosis through resection through reconstruction.
Clinical Philosophy
My practice covers the full continuum of oral and maxillofacial oncology from OSMF and pre-malignant lesion surveillance through cancer surgery, flap reconstruction, and post-oncological dental rehabilitation. I manage facial trauma, jaw tumours and cysts, and TMJ disorders. But the thread that connects all of this is a refusal to treat any of it as routine. Each case involves someone's ability to eat, speak, smile, and be recognised by the people who love them. That weight doesn't diminish with experience. If anything, it sharpens focus.
Teaching & Mentorship
In addition to clinical practice, I am actively involved in training postgraduate maxillofacial surgery students in patient-specific implant planning, oncological reconstruction, and surgical decision-making for complex cases. Teaching has made me a better surgeon. I also serve as a reviewer for peer-reviewed oral and maxillofacial surgery journals, a role that keeps me closely engaged with current evidence and surgical literature.
